Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to the notary and related services provided by Priority Mobile Notary Services, LLC (“Priority Mobile Notary”, “we”, “us”), owned and operated by Karen McCormick, a Tennessee Notary Public. Our office and mailing address is 5251-C Hwy 153 #118, Hixson, TN 37343. By using this website or booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
We provide mobile notary services in Tennessee, including acknowledgments, jurats, oaths and affirmations, and signature witnessing, as well as loan signings, clerical document preparation assistance and, on request, wedding officiant services. We travel to your home, workplace, hospital, care facility or another location we agree on. Notarial acts are performed only in Tennessee and only in accordance with Tennessee law.
2. We do not provide legal advice
A notary public is not an attorney. We cannot give legal advice, tell you which document you need, explain the legal effect of a document, or advise you on how to complete it. Any document preparation assistance is clerical only: we enter information that you provide. For legal questions, please consult a licensed Tennessee attorney. Information on this website is general information, not legal advice.
3. Appointments
- An appointment is confirmed only when we confirm the date, time and location with you.
- Please give us accurate details when you book: the type of document, the number of signers, the meeting address and any parking, gate or facility check-in instructions.
- Same-day and after-hours appointments depend on availability and are not guaranteed.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as possible.
4. Fees and payment
We quote the total cost before the appointment. A quote may include notarial fees permitted under Tennessee law and a separate travel or service fee. Any charge that applies if an appointment is cancelled late or cannot be completed will be explained when you book. Payment is due at the time of service unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Requirements for every signer
- Each signer must appear in person at the appointment.
- Each signer must present acceptable identification, usually a current government-issued photo ID, as permitted under Tennessee law.
- Each signer must be aware of what they are signing and be signing willingly.
- Documents must be complete, with no blank spaces that could be filled in later. Do not sign in advance when the notarial act requires signing in the notary’s presence.
- If your document requires witnesses, you are responsible for arranging them unless we agree otherwise in advance.
6. Our right to decline a notarization
We may decline or stop a notarization if a signer’s identity cannot be verified, a signer appears unaware or unwilling or is being pressured, the document is incomplete, the request appears fraudulent, or completing it would violate Tennessee law or notary rules. Declining for these reasons protects you and your document.
7. Your documents
You are responsible for the content, accuracy and legal sufficiency of your documents, and for recording, filing or delivering them on time. A notarization verifies the signer’s identity and signature; it does not verify that the contents of a document are true or legally valid. We keep a record of each notarial act, such as the date, type of act, signer name and identification details, as permitted or required by Tennessee law.
8. Loan signings
For loan signings, we act as a notary and signing agent at the request of the lender, title company or signing service. We can show you where to sign and date, but we cannot explain loan terms, rates or fees. Questions about your loan should go to your lender or closing agent.
9. Wedding officiant services
Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid Tennessee marriage license before the ceremony and for meeting all license requirements. Ceremonies are performed in Tennessee.
10. Use of this website
Website content is provided for general information and may not reflect the latest changes in law or procedure. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content. The text and design of this website belong to Priority Mobile Notary Services, LLC and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
11. Privacy
We use the personal information you give us only to provide and schedule our services and to meet our legal record-keeping duties. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delays caused by a third party’s rejection of a document. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Tennessee law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Hamilton County, Tennessee.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
